Connecting Ancient Traditions with Contemporary Life

I help people connect ancient traditions with contemporary life, equipping them with the skills and practices to confidently read biblical texts for themselves—free from hearsay and assumptions. I lead bold explorations into the subjects that matter most, creating a space where we can ask real questions without fear or judgment and uncover new perspectives.

aime Clark-Soles is speaking with a serious expression, wearing a small microphone near her ear.

A leading authority

Psychedelics & faith

Jaime is a leading authority in the United States on faith and controlled use of psychedelics in therapeutic settings.

Her work in the area of psychedelics aims to build a bridge between the medical and the spiritual, two areas currently not well integrated and sometimes antagonistic.

“Jaime Clark-Soles has been an incredibly important part of the Alaska School of Theology since she first joined us in 2007. She made return appearances in 2011, in 2016, and once again as the teacher selected to restart the program in a revised format in 2024. Jaime has the experience in working in local churches and clinical ministries to make the great depth of her scholarship come alive for people who otherwise would be struggling to understand. She adds the vital third dimension of Bible study for students of what the Bible means for them in their lives and ministry settings. She knows how to show that stories told in the Gospel of John, even though coming out of a time almost 2,000 years in the past, relate to how people ought to live and love together in our time."

Book Jaime

With depth and relevance, Jaime skillfully addresses contemporary issues through a biblical lens, offering a fresh perspective to her audiences.

Jaime Clark-Soles, smiling, is teaching from behind a dais with a microphone in front of her, in a lecture setting where the audience is not visible.

“I’ve taken a few classes that I’ve liked but this was by far the one I enjoyed the most. The professor was super knowledgeable and yet easy to listen to and made the content very understandable. I can’t wait to get the slides and listen to it again! I learned a lot, and had some things confirmed that are a part of my deconstruction journey. Many thanks for this lesson!”

”Jaime Clark-Soles can make the most familiar texts of scripture vibrate all over again with new spiritual energy. She knows that many of us today are disillusioned by the church. Into our pain and emptiness, she speaks with courage, conviction, and scholarly brilliance.”

— Ron Cole-Turner

Professor of Theology and Ethics (emeritus), Pittsburgh Theological Seminary

“If you haven't had the Jaime Clark-Soles experience, grab one of her books or listen to her speak, preferably both! She is a fresh, brilliant, deeply informed, wise, engaging and authoritative guide into the deepest realms not just of traditional religion, but into the new worlds of spirituality and psychedelics. She's warmed my heart, touched my soul, inspired my mind, and made me laugh. She'll do the same for you."
